Regional HIV AIDS Consortium -

New Offices

The Regional HIV/AIDS Consortium celebrated its recent move into the Quorom Business Park on Thursday, June 17, 2004 with a Red Ribbon Ceremony and Open House.

The mission of the Regional HIV/AIDS Consortium is to foster and ensure a regional approach to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS and to meet with compassion and dignity the needs of those affected by the disease.

The Regional Consortium serves a 13 county area in North and South Carolina.


The Regional HIV/AIDS Consortium:

	Coordinates Ryan White CARE Act
	Housing Opportunities For Persons with AIDS
	Supervises the Regional Case Management Network
	Advances public policy and public awareness
	Provides grant procurement and management
	Coordinates the AmeriCorps program
	Provides prevention education that involves programs with the religious community, youth, and the workplace


The Regional HIV/AIDS Consortium also addresses the issues of the African American community and HIV/AIDS.
